What do I earn for participating?

25 euros and a free prescription validation if you are eligible.

How long does it take?

Please allow 1 to 2 hours to take the exam, upload your files, and fill out the survey.

Do I have to speak English?

No! Please feel free to do the test and audio / video recording in Dutch, German, or English.

How do I upload my video and audio file?

You are responsible for uploading a complete audio and video file to publicly accessible links.

The files should be separate. The video should be at least 480p quality.

Good file hosting services include, but are not limited to:

• Google Drive
• Dropbox
• Youtube
• Vimeo
• WeTransfer (select 'share as link' instead of send email)

After you have received a confirmation about your submission from us, you may remove the files at the links you provided to us.

Do I have to complete the exam?

Yes, we require that you complete the exam to receive the payment. We will check the video file to make sure you finished the exam, as well as your user account.

I had a problem completing my exam for technical reasons. What should I do?

If you encountered what you think is a software bug, please make a submission of what you have. We will determine on a case-by-case basis if you need to complete another exam, or if the one you tried to complete was sufficient.

When should I start and stop recording the audio and video?

Once you have your devices ready to record, you should start before navigating to easee.online to start the test process.

Once the exam is completed, an "exit" page will appear showing you the next steps. Please continue recording until you have reviewed these pages. Once reviewed, you may stop recording.

What do you do with my video and audio recordings?

We will use your video and audio recordings to study the usability of our eye exam.

We will not ever make these recordings publicly available or use them in any marketing promotions.

Your recordings may be stored in a database restricted to easee associates for later reference and research.

After we have confirmed your submission via email, you may remove the files at the links you provided to us.

My video file is too big to upload. How do I make it smaller?

A program called HandBrake is a free tool to compress videos. We recommend the .mp4 format.

There are also many online tools that are available.

How fast do you pay?

After your submission and approval of submitted materials, it should take 3 to 5 business days to process the payment.
